WEEK 18 FYP SEMESTER 2

Objective

To submit the complete hard cover, binding comb and soft copy project

Activity

Hard cover binding is submit to library and then binding comb to supervisor also for this blog report. Then, for soft copy project is submit to FYP BMI website. Below show the hardcover and soft copy report :

WEEK 15 - 17 FYP SEMESTER 2

Objective

To writing and complete the report

Activity

Report is writing completed. This report consist of complete research and explanation what project doing and make it. Below shown the report progress :

This report is given to supervisor to check and repair whether have mistake make in this report before bind into hard cover.

WEEK 12 - 14 FYP SEMESTER 2

Objective

To burn the PIC and interface to the temperature sensor
To overcome problem appear from unsuccessful temperature sensor circuit
To assemble the successful circuit to prototype
To prepare for FYP presentation

Activity

The burn the data from the coding software to PIC need the burner mechanism and software. The decision make to burn to the university technician at level 6. First burn, using the new coding from the previous circuit. Burning simulation is complete but problem is went interface to the circuit, nothing happen to the circuit. The adjustment back to try using previous coding software. Then, the result is the same.
After observation and double check the soldered PIC board, there is no wrong connection in circuit. Therefore,  the solution open back from PIC board and connect to breadboard. The connection is complete then the problem same. No reaction happen, only LCD light on but no reading out from display. The uncompleted circuit shown below :

The assemble only more focusing to the PIR module circuit only. The voltage regulator is used to step down the incoming 12V adaptor to run circuit. The voltage regulator shown below :

The complete prototype for incubator and PIR module circuit is shown below :

The preparation for presentation and the poster is printed. Below shown the poster used on presentation day :

WEEK 11 FYP SEMESTER 2

Objective

To integrated between temperature sensor circuit and RF system

Activity

The integration between RF system and temperature sensor circuit is by connected to temperature sensors which is LM 35. The RF system is used which is RF module that consists of transmitter module and receiver module. This module is shown below how it look like :

Connection between LM 35 and RF module is output LM 35 is connected to the data input from transmitter module (figure first) and the output data from receiver module (figure second) is connected to input pin out at PIC which is PIC16F867A.

WEEK 10 FYP SEMESTER 2

Objective

To construct and solder temperature sensor circuit.

Activity

This circuit is soldering to testing up whether this circuit function or not. The circuit using PCB printed that create at shop. Below shown how soldering component :

The supply is both share between temperature and motion circuit. Therefore below show how integrated  between two circuit into one supply :

WEEK 9 FYP SEMESTER 2

Objective

To construct, solder and testing PIR module circuit into board.

Activity

This circuit is completed with combine the PIR module sensor, astable 555 timer circuit and 7408 Logic AND Gate. The result is shown below and scenario is when both or one from sensors detect motion, they is no indicator trigger. If both sensor detect motion, so indicator which is buzzer and LED(add on) will trigger :

WEEK 8 FYP SEMESTER 2

Objective

To testing and to make two sensors run simultaneously.

Activity

Below show the successful PIR module circuit using one module sensor only :

To solve the problem if using two sensor to detect is by create another 555 timer circuit for second PIR module sensor. To compile both motion sensor into one output is using 7408 Logic AND Gate. This gate is suitable gate to my project cause of the output may indicate if both sensor detect same motion so the buzzer will produce buzzing sound that show the motion is detected. If only one motion detect from both sensor, nothing happen from the indicator.Below shown the 7408 Logic AND Gate :
